TV Prima is preparing Slovak versions of the Prima Cool and Prima Love channels. Both have received licenses for satellite distribution from the Council for Radio and Television Broadcasting.

The programs will offer Prima Group's archived original content, mostly dramatic works and entertainment. They'll broadcast 16 to 24 hours per day.

The Council also approved rebranding Prima's main Slovak channel from Prima Plus to Prima SK. Prima Plus launched in 2017, and CNN Prima News launched in Slovak distribution in 2020. Prima Cool targets younger viewers, while Prima Love aims at female audiences.

"These channels will reach Slovak TV viewers in 2024," Prima stated. Their goal entering Slovakia is "bringing our best original productions."

"We've increased producing various original formats appealing to viewers. We see interest among Slovak audiences, and the new channels provide space for this content, building on our first thematic stations' success," said Marek Singer, Prima Group CEO.

Arriving first in the first half of 2024 is Prima Cool SK. Program details complementing Prima's productions with acquired titles will come later.

"We're offering the family station Prima SK with our premiere productions to all Slovak viewer generations. Since January, they've had 8 new series. We're delighted to expand with two new channels we believe will be popular," said Alex Ruzek, Programming Director.

More premieres are coming to Prima SK, like the April 1st romantic comedy "Lie on the Beach" (pun: lying on a beach/lie set at beach). Adapted formats "Inkognito" (based on "What's My Line?") and "Máme rádi Česko" ("I Love My Country") also join soon.
