I am a journalist focused on media industry, commercial communication, and innovative technologies. My current main job is content editor of Digizone.cz – the Czech website about radio and TV broadcasting, streaming platforms, and multimedia. I am also a regular contributor of various Czech newspapers including Hospodářské noviny and Deník N. Besides that, I work with both commercial and nonprofit clients to improve their social media presence.
In the past I worked as editor-in-chief of weekly B2B magazine Marketing & Media. For more than eight years was my professional career connected with Czech Radio, the public service medium. I helped to develop online content and services of the radio, prepared a reform of children broadcasting and founded social media channels. The creative use of Facebook and Twitter for popularizing the historic events lead to national Journalistic Award which I received in 2014.
I took part in some international projects, conferences and working groups. From 2009 until 2014 I was a member of the New Radio Group under European Broadcasting Union, which supported the development of digital radio broadcasting in Europe. I gave lectures to foreign journalists during half-day courses organized by Deutsche Welle Akademie, presented on conferences abroad (including South Africa or western Europe) and hosted discussions and debates.
I have been a member of the jury of several national marketing contests and awards. Mainstream media often quote my expert views on media and marketing. Each August I am a guest lecturer on Summer Journalistic School and Summer School of European Studies.
